Personal, down-to-earth and warm-hearted – something our guests feel, and why so many have returned for years. We look forward to meeting you too… In the meantime, may we introduce ourselves?

Mrs Gamper, the heart of the house

Mrs Gamper is a host through and through. She puts her heart into everything she does, always ready to listen and attentive to everyone's wellbeing. If you are looking for beautiful hikes or real insider tips, she is the person to ask. She knows the mountains around the hotel like the back of her hand, as she loves spending her free time outdoors too, preferably with her sisters or friends.
She loves the mountains and good company, and sometimes enjoys a little nap in the afternoon sunshine. Warm, thoughtful and full of energy: everything you could wish for in a host.

Philipp, a breath of fresh air

Philipp brings the energy of the next generation to the hotel. Behind the scenes, he keeps an eye on everything, taking care of the figures, organisation and all the things that need to run smoothly. In the morning, you will usually find him at his computer, third cup of coffee in hand.
In the evening, he swaps his desk for looking after guests and puts his energy into making everyone feel at home. Standing still? Not his thing. He likes to spend his free time outdoors, downhill biking, kitesurfing or somewhere high in the mountains. As long as he is moving and surrounded by nature.

Two people, one shared aim

Mrs Gamper and Philipp make a well-practised team. They complement each other perfectly: she brings warmth and a natural gift for hospitality, while his organisational skills and energy keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Each brings their strengths, and that is what makes Hotel am Sonneck a place where hospitality is something you feel.
