There are countless scenic walks around Lagundo and Merano, from gentle panoramic trails to hikes high in the Texel Group Nature Park. Tell us how far and how high you would like to go, and we will send you to one of our favourite spots.
Waalwege are paths that follow South Tyrol‘s historic irrigation channels, known as “Waale”.
The lovely thing about them is that they are usually easy to walk, with little climbing, and take you right through our beautiful countryside. Perfect for anyone who would rather enjoy the scenery than count metres of ascent.
Very quickly! The Lagundo Waalweg is practically on our doorstep, and the Marlengo Waalweg is also within easy reach.
Simply lace up your walking shoes, set off and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.
Spring and autumn are particularly lovely: first everything blossoms, then the landscape glows with autumn colours.
The Waalwege are wonderful in summer too, especially where flowing water and shade offer a little respite from the heat.

A small repair, a bolt to tighten or tyres to check, and then it is time to get back on your bike!
Because everything becomes a little quieter here in winter. Clear air, plenty of sunshine, snow-covered peaks and, at last, time to switch off.
After a winter day outdoors? Head to the sauna or the warm whirlpool. Just how a winter holiday should be.
Oh yes! Lagundo itself has a lovely, cosy Christmas market – small, atmospheric and full of South Tyrolean charm.
For a little more bustle, Merano‘s Christmas market is just a few minutes away.
Why not visit both? You can never have too much Christmas cheer.
More than you might think! Enjoy winter walks, stroll through Merano, visit the Christmas market or simply soak up the winter sunshine.
And if you have nothing planned at all, that is fine too – you are on holiday, after all.
Often surprisingly mild and sunny. While the surrounding mountains wear their white winter coat, the valley often stays dry.
Snow on the mountains, sunshine on your face – a combination we particularly love.
We do not try to be something we are not – and we believe that is exactly what many guests appreciate.
